Project Overview:
The ITA TechStat initiative was designed to enhance decision-making processes within the City of Los Angeles' Information Technology Agency by utilizing comprehensive data analysis. My role in this project was to spearhead the creation of targeted surveys, collect and analyze the resultant data, and prepare detailed presentations for managerial review.
Responsibilities:
Survey Design: Developed surveys tailored to capture critical data points essential for IT operational improvements.
Data Collection and Analysis: Managed the collection of survey responses, ensuring high participation rates and reliable data. Employed statistical tools to analyze the data, identifying key trends and insights.
Presentation and Reporting: Created visually impactful presentations to communicate findings to management. These presentations facilitated informed decision-making and strategic planning within the agency.
Impact:
The project led to improved understanding of ITA's operational strengths and weaknesses, directly influencing strategic decisions and enhancements in ITA's service delivery to over 50,000 city employees across the City of Los Angeles.
Project Overview:
In response to the increasing need for digital access in the community, the LA County Library implemented a Chromebook and hotspot lending program. I was tasked with managing the technical aspects of this program, including system configurations, security protocols, and maintenance of the devices using Google Admin Console (GAM).
Responsibilities:
Device Management: Used GAM to configure, disable, or unlock Chromebooks as needed, ensuring devices were secure and functional for user checkout.
Troubleshooting and Repair: Handled troubleshooting of software issues and coordinated the repair of hardware problems, maintaining the operational efficiency of the lending program.
System Updates and Security: Regularly updated device settings and installed necessary security measures to protect user data and optimize device performance.
Impact:
This project significantly enhanced the digital resources available to the community, promoting digital literacy and access. The efficient management of the Chromebook lending program ensured high service quality and user satisfaction, making technology accessible to a broader segment of the library's patrons and decreasing the digital divide within our local communities.
Project Overview:
In pursuit of harnessing the capabilities of artificial intelligence for personal productivity, I developed a custom ChatGPT/AI assistant. This project involved creating scripts to interact with OpenAI's API, enabling a tailored AI assistant that could perform a variety of tasks based on natural language input.
Responsibilities:
Script Development: Authored and refined Python scripts that interface with the OpenAI API. Focused on structuring queries and handling API responses effectively to maximize the utility of the AI assistant.
Feature Integration: Programmed the assistant to manage daily tasks, such as scheduling, reminders, and information retrieval, integrating these capabilities seamlessly to enhance user interaction.
Testing and Optimization: Conducted rigorous testing to ensure the assistant’s performance was reliable and user-friendly. Optimized the system for speed and accuracy, adjusting parameters to improve response times and result relevancy.
Impact:
This project not only improved my personal efficiency but also served as a practical application of cutting-edge AI technology. It demonstrated the potential of AI to simplify complex tasks and provided a foundation for further development of automated systems in various applications.
